First and foremost, welcome to Blood Geek. A personal blog written with the sole purpose of self indulgence. My passion is blood, anything to do with it. From normal function, through to obscure pathology. Hopefully, through your continued reading of this blog, i’ll be able to convince you that there’s a wonderfully complex world inside you and it’s worth knowing about.
Join me as we discuss topics relevant to the scientific world, delve into the phenomenally obscure world of haematology and plunge into a realm of knowledge and excitment. You may not think this relevant to you. You may already be switching off at this point. Allow me to prove to you, that it’s already in your bones.
So who am I? Well, i’m a final year biomedical sciences student with a passion for human biology and the disease process. My major interests lay in the fields of haematology and genetics. My plan for this blog is to take you on a journey with me. Together we will traverse the academic room full of explosives that is commonly known as final year. Once through, my plan is to entice you to follow me into the working world of a biomedical scientist. A job very few know about, but have no doubt had their input at some stage throughout their lives.
Indulge me, read on. See if you enjoy what you read and please get involved. There’s room for all of us.
Thanks for joining me!
